But, first, it is a big day, friends! And it wouldn’t have happened without YOU! So, before I type one more word….let me please give you a round of applause and a giant THANK YOU!

The Paula Faris Show is launching today, with Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas. And, truly, the only reason I’m doing this, is because I heard from so many of you how much you wanted me to do another podcast/show. So, you twisted my arm hard enough (okay, you really didn’t even have to) and I decided to not only do this again. But, I am giving you options: you can listen on your favorite platform. Or, you can watch it on YOUTUBE! 

It only felt appropriate to kick things off with Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty — I’ve loved his music since college. Yep. Almost 30 years. 

But, Matchbox Twenty almost didn’t happen. They were on the chopping block. And, had it not been for ONE SONG, they probably wouldn’t be around. (Any guesses on which song saved them?)

Rob said there were numerous setbacks in his life and musical career, but those setbacks turned out to be a setup for something better. 

I hope this conversation encourages you on your journey. As with all these conversations, I hope you laugh, cry, nod your head.  And live your best life! 

And, a good reminder for all of us…our setbacks can be setups for something greater than we could have ever imagined.

1. What I'm Wearing

My friend was wearing these shoes and I was in love, yet nervous because I thought they were gonna be pricey. So, when she told me they were $40 from TARGET, I did a happy dance. They come in Black, Tan and White. And, they’re super comfy. While I’m at it, my new favorite high-waisted black jeans are on sale at Kohl’s for $36.99. 

2. What I'm Watching

Not sure what’s been happening, but I’m digging a good romcom these days. Maybe it’s because my mom is staying with me for a few weeks?? Ha. My recommendations in order: "Love At First Sight", "Love Again" and "Love is in the Air". All on Netflix.  

3. What I'm STILL LOVING!

I’m still loving Nail Dash press-on nails. I laughed when my friend (yep, the same one who was wearing those Target shoes) told me about them. But, I’m now obsessed with them. Each set consistently lasts two weeks…and my daughter, who plays high school volleyball, gets them to stay on, too. They have all kinds of shapes and their new fall line is fire!!
