It’s not just you. It’s a real thing.

January tends to drag. Psychologists even say it feels like the longest month of the year.

Can I get an “amen” that January is finally coming to an end? In our household, it couldn’t come fast enough. Why? Well, two reasons.

➡️ Dry January ends TOMORROW (this is a pledge to not drink alcohol the entire month of January).

➡️ Season Two of my new podcast drops next week and these are conversations all inspired by what YOU are talking about.

So, let’s talk about Dry January…it was something John (hubby) and I did together last year and we decided to try it again this year. But, I’ll be honest, this year was more difficult. So much so that John had to put a zip tie on our adult beverage cabinet. Y’all…kids are stressful.

We’re going to have a drink tomorrow. But, I think we’re both pledging to be more intentional and mindful about it going forward. Maybe even only having a drink on the weekends. What about you?

At the very least, hubby and I realized we’re in the habit of drinking more than we thought…and we want to be healthier about that.

Which leads me to tell you about my upcoming conversation with the HABIT guru, the one and only, James Clear, who wrote the #1 NYT best-selling book, Atomic Habits. It’s been one of the TOP selling books on Amazon the last couple of years…and I am so fired up to bring you this conversation next week as we kick off Season Two of my new podcast.

Look, I’m not a resolution or goal person. Yes, I’m high-achieving. But, I’m not terribly disciplined. We’re going to really lean into how to instill good habits in our kids, the shocking things we’re doing that don’t set us up for success at work and home, plus a little of James’ personal story and how his habits transformed him from a mediocre high school baseball player to the MVP at his college. All because he got 1% better every day. Keep reading to find out how to win an autographed copy of his book!

Can’t wait to bring you Season Two as we’ll be talking about the things you want to talk about….parenting, work-life balance, relationships.

Keep going, friends! Cheering you on, always.

FARIS FAVORITES 🤎

1. GIVEAWAY Coming Soon!

As I mentioned up top, we’re kicking off Season Two of my podcast next week with THE JAMES CLEAR, who wrote one of the best-selling books of all time, Atomic Habits. Stay tuned to find out you can win an autographed copy – I’ll be announcing how you can win a copy next week only in my newsletter. Good luck!

2. Migraine Miracle Worker

I know this looks ridiculous and I’ll kill you if you show this to anyone (LOL) but I’m so glad I found it. It’s a cold compression headache relief hat, great for relieving migraines, tension headaches, sinus pressure, etc. (It was actually recommended to me by a friend who suffered from really bad migraines, caused by hormones. Thank you #PeriMenopause) “Give it to Paula…she’ll try it.”

That’s basically what I’ve become to all of you. And I am here for it. I love vetting products and trying things out to tell you if they get a thumbs up or thumbs down. And this one gets a giant thumbs up! You can also pop it in the microwave and use it as a warming cap.

3. Join me in Charleston, SC!

Where are my southerners? Come see Savannah Guthrie and me on February 18th in Charleston on her book tour. I’m so honored to moderate this conversation about her new book, titled Mostly What God Does. P.S. I’ve been reading it every morning for my quiet time and really cherishing Savannah’s story and deep faith. Savannah and I hopped on IG last week to talk about the tour, the book and our Charleston date. Click below for more info!

Too Good Not to Share 😘

Tell me you’re in a healthy relationship without telling me you’re in a healthy relationship. I shared this recently and you had SO MUCH TO SAY about it… true in your relationship? Weigh in.

THE PAULA FARIS SHOW 🎙️

Things I'm Learning About Feeling Unqualified

Nothing makes me feel less qualified than scrolling social media and seeing how everyone else has it together. In this episode, I share my vulnerable moments of feeling less than, how we can avoid the trap of comparison, and the three questions we should ask ourselves to get out of our head.

Things I’m Learning About Trying New Things

I had $400 in my business account and wasn’t sure what to do next. In this episode, I share how stressful it’s been being an entrepreneur, how I’ve found we can find the courage to try new things, and when we should keep going.
