I believe in movies again! 🎥

Hollywood did something I didn’t think was possible — it created a movie that was enjoyable for my entire family, ages 8 to 85!

If you haven’t yet watched Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to the 1986 film, it will Take Your Breath Away…(sorry, I couldn’t help myself).

It set all kinds of box office records — and handed Tom Cruise the best weekend opening of his career. No spoiler alerts. I won’t give anything away, in case you haven’t seen it.

But, I can almost guarantee you’ll love it. It’s getting a 96% review on Rotten Tomatoes, which is no small feat! We had a crew of eight that went — my kids and husband, plus my in-laws and niece. We can’t wait to watch it, again.

In other news: today was the first day of summer break, and I totally didn’t nail it. I forgot about one kid’s early morning practice and was so late picking another up that we missed an appointment. Jesus, take the wheel….

Getting out of school in May is something very new for our family…we’re used to school finishing in late June. But, things are different in the south! Finding rhythms in the summer is always challenging, especially when you’re working from home. If you struggle with the same thing, stay tuned to CARRY Media™ for ways to Savor Your Summer :) It’s been a busy start to our summer. Episode 67 with Scott Harrison —  Does this season of life have you craving freedom from your past? If you've been longing to find the way back to your calling with greater faith, meaning or service, this episode might be the perfect place to start. I sat down with Scott Harrison, the founder of Charity: Water for an intimate conversation about his experience as a modern-day prodigal son. We discuss outrunning your past, forgiving yourself and making pivots in pursuit of your calling.
